Some of the most remembered pieces of the UNCTAD III heritage collection are Alfredo Manzano's wicker fish, Manzanito.
The giant figures hung from the ceiling of the legendary casino of what was the building of the Third World Conference on Trade and Development, later the headquarters of the Gabriela Mistral Metropolitan Cultural Center.

The Chimbarongo artisan, Julio Rodríguez, was commissioned to recreate one of the most endearing works of the building's art collection in commemoration of its 41st anniversary. The tribute work is a white wicker weave on a 180 kg metal structure. 9.9 m long and 1.85 m in diameter.
"I didn't know the history of the work, but when it was commissioned I looked for information to find out more about what it was about. We started working little by little and it took shape," says Julio Rodríguez, an artisan from Chimbarongo in charge of making the piece.
“When we create something very beautiful and one is happy, I don't want it to go away, I feel like I regret it, I miss it,” he says about the feeling of letting go of the work to which he dedicated so much. However, he is aware of the impact that this work can have on the public and the artisan community.
“For someone who is from the province, it is a bit difficult to accept, but I understand that it is very important and will be seen by many people. Right here people stopped to ask what it was. I would like the public to appreciate it, and that through it they also get closer to Chimbarongo. May it serve to pay tribute to Manzanito, its creator, and all the artisans.”
