Gabriela Mistral

“Play, I don't want to be a quiet niche,” wrote the Nobel Prize winner. And in the cultural center that bears his name, his legacy lives on in endless ways. At GAM, the poet has starred in plays, dance and musical concerts. She has taught her pedagogy through seminars and talks, and has marched through Alameda, as another citizen, to fight for gender equality.
