GAM offers a program of mediated visits for organized groups with a minimum of 10 people and from 4 years old onwards.

Programs

Discovering GAM

Visit focused on the art collection and the history of the cultural center. Participants will learn about the architecture of the building, its spaces, some selected pieces from the heritage art collection, as well as GAM's current work as a space for arts and cultural participation.

  • Recommended age: 4 to 10 years
  • Duration of 90 minutes, includes teaching material (fanzine) + workshop

From UNCTAD to GAM

Heritage visit focused on the history of the building. The participants will learn about and reflect on the beginning of the project created in 1972, and its subsequent five stages: UNCTAD III, Gabriela Mistral Metropolitan Cultural Center, Diego Portales Building, Refoundation and Gabriela Center Mistral.

  • Recommended age: + 12 years
  • Duration of 90 minutes, includes workshop.

GAM and the performing arts

Visit focused on the relationship of the Gabriela Mistral Center with Chilean theater and dance. The participants will learn part of the history of the cultural center and the national performing arts, and then learn and reflect on the different trades and professions related to the living arts that are carried out daily at GAM.

  • Recommended age: + 14 years
  • Duration of 90 minutes, includes workshop.

Visual Arts Room

Specialized mediated visits for the different visual arts exhibitions that are exhibited during the year at the cultural center. They can be accompanied by the artists and curators of the exhibitions themselves, and/or the GAM mediation team. Subject to scheduling and availability.
