Created for the Hall of Delegates of the Unctad III building in 1972, this work was restored in 2023 with original dyes found in the artist's workshop.
In Herrera's imagination, birds and flowers always stand out for their abundance and generosity without leaving empty spaces and allowing figure and background to come together in perfect harmony.

The work was restored with original dyes found in the artist's workshop. The work was achieved thanks to the financing of the Department of Works of Art of the Directorate of Architecture of the Ministry of Public Works and was carried out by Marta Rebora and her team from the company Occitania Patrimony. Herrera's creation was given on loan to GAM by the MOP.
Paz Herrera, her daughter, admits her excitement at the recovery: "My family and I are very excited by the love that everyone has put into this restoration. For many years we were trying to look for it and there was no information. When we found out that it was being restored, it was something wonderful, very exciting."
"It was a wonderful gift that they allowed us to access the original materials with which Héctor Herrera made his work. And it was also a challenge to be able to clean the textile, because we did it dry, but the stains still persisted and we decided to wash it. Finally, that allowed us to recover the work," says Carlos Sotelo, part of the team that recovered it.

Self-taught textile artist who defined himself as an artisan. By chance he met various artists who encouraged him to develop his unique and unmistakable style featuring birds, fish and exuberant nature.
Active exhibitor at fairs and halls both in Chile and outside the country. Exhibitions stand out in the United States, Brazil, Germany, Uruguay, France, Switzerland and Italy.
