BiblioGAM 1

  • Located in the heart of Santiago and with an open view towards the Alameda and the Lastarria neighborhood, BiblioGAM occupies the third level of GAM's A building. Its 1,278 square meters include a large reading and consultation hall with open shelving, as well as a newspaper library and free internet. Its infrastructure has five rooms designed for study or meeting with free access.
  • BiblioGAM has a collection, between a general and specialized collection, which as of February 2024 totals 20,009 volumes between printed formats (books, magazines, articles, photographs and plates) and audiovisual formats. Of that figure, 2,434 items correspond to audiovisual material.
  • The library constantly dialogues with the visual, performing and musical arts. For this reason, its spaces are available for meetings between creators and the public, through a program of exhibitions and samples, book presentations, reading animation, talks, seminars, among others. These activities are carried out throughout the year, both during public service hours and outside of them. We ask that you keep this aspect in mind when planning your use of the services and spaces of the facility.
