Generalities about the Center

  • What are the GAM's operating hours?
    • Answer: Hours vary depending on areas. The exhibition rooms are usually open from Tuesday to Sunday. The theater and dance halls open their doors 30 minutes before the start of the performance and the shops, cafeteria, restaurant, are open from Monday to Sunday. Check the "Schedules" section on our website for specific details of each space.
  • Where is the GAM located and how can I get there?
    • Answer: We are located on Av. Libertador Bernardo O'Higgins 227, Santiago. The easiest way to get there is through the Santiago Metro, getting off at the Universidad Católica station (Line 1), which has a direct exit to the center. We also have public transport bus stops nearby.
  • Is entry to the building and squares free?
    • Answer: Yes, access to our building (except the performance halls) and our squares is free. Some activities such as exhibitions or guided tours may have a cost or require prior registration, which is specified in their respective section.

Tickets and Tickets

  • How can I buy tickets for shows (theater, dance, music)?
    • Answer: Tickets can be purchased in two ways:
      1. Online: Through the online ticket sales system on our website (www.gam.cl) or through Ticketplus.
      2. In person: At the GAM Ticket Office, located on the first floor of the building and at Self-service Totem, located in Building B.
  • Does the GAM Ticket Office have fixed opening hours?
    • Answer: Ticket office hours vary. Generally, it is open from Monday to Sunday. On performance days, the box office remains open until the start of the last performance. We recommend reviewing the specific schedule in the "Schedules" section.
  • Are there discounts for students, seniors or groups?
    • Answer: Yes, we offer various discounts. Typically, there are discounted rates for students, seniors, and sometimes for agreements with specific institutions or cards. Availability and discount percentage vary depending on the show and must be consulted in the details of each event.
  • Can I cancel or change my tickets?
    • Answer: As a general rule, no refunds or exchanges are made for tickets once purchased, unless the function is canceled or rescheduled by the GAM. In that case, the procedure to follow will be informed. For questions or queries you can write to boleteria@gam.cl.

Services and Accessibility

  • Does the GAM have accessibility for people with reduced mobility?
    • Answer: Yes, the GAM is a space designed to be inclusive. We have accessible elevators, ramps and bathrooms on all levels, as well as designated spaces in the performance rooms for wheelchairs.
  • Is Wi-Fi available to the public?
    • Answer: Yes, we offer free Wi-Fi service in common areas of the cultural center.
  • Is there somewhere to eat or drink inside the GAM?
    • Answer: Yes, the GAM has a cafeteria/restaurant on the first level and, occasionally, food trucks in the plazas, which offer various food and drink options.
  • Are pets allowed?
    • Answer: Generally, pets are not allowed inside the building or rooms, with the exception of certified assistance dogs. The outdoor plazas are publicly accessible, but pets are asked to keep their pets on a leash and clean up after themselves.

Participation and Rental of Spaces

  • How can I apply to exhibit my work or present my show at the GAM?
    • Answer: The GAM periodically holds public calls for performing and visual arts programming. All information and application bases are published in the "Calls" section of our website.
  • Is it possible to rent GAM rooms or spaces for private or corporate events?
    • Answer: Yes, we offer various rooms and auditoriums with professional equipment for rent. To request information about availability, rates and conditions, please go to the "Space Rental" section or contact our Commercial Management team at gestioncomercial@gam.cl.
