The prominent journalist and writer Marisol García opens the doors of our recording studio to show us the intimacy of the musicians. In podcast format, you can follow this cycle of conversations, anecdotes, stories about songs and the events that have marked the creation and music of prominent national artists, accompanied by live performances.
Six musicians from the country participate in a conversation with unique characteristics, which integrates an interview about their work with the exclusive recording of their music in the same space. Rock, folklore, hip-hop, pop, singer-songwriter and jazz: events that welcome great musicians along with all types of instruments, from the drums to the Chilean guitarrón.
Thinking about music, from the GAM Studio is a record of these valuable encounters to be heard from anywhere in the world. Hosted by Marisol García, journalist specialized in music and author of several investigations on the subject, the podcast will have 6 chapters dedicated to the music and voices of Claudio Parra (Los Jaivas), Pancho Molina (Los Tres), Jimmy Fernández (La Pozze Latina), Ángela Acuña, Chini.png and Manuel Sánchez, who will share impressions and data about their career, ideas about creativity, music direction and technological changes in the industry.
"For those who make music, recording studios are spaces for work, but also for learning and experimentation. Trial and error, lessons and supervision of details forge what later reaches our ears. In recording studios, important creative decisions are made. Rhythms and arrangements are defined, all the details of the music are controlled, which will then reach thousands or millions of ears," says Marisol García.
This work was carried out and recorded at the GAM Recording Studio, between the months of August and September 2024. The space, acoustically conditioned to house the recording and mixing of musical projects, voiceovers, radio plays and podcasts, among others, is one of the rooms that make up the Popular Music Call for the application of independent musical projects.
