A contemporary dance work that explores the limits, morals and pleasure in the bodies of seven young dancers. A premiere directed by Sebastián de la Cuesta, Rodrigo Leal, Cristián Reyes and Francisca Sazie.
Do I have limits? What are those limits? How and when do I cross those limits? What is ethics? How far does it go for me? Do I have a price? What is my price? What is the value of my dignity? How is my morale? Where is my pleasure? These are the questions around which Black Beach was built, a contemporary dance work that unites Plataforma MONO and Espacio Czechoslovakia.
MONO Platform was born in 2016 to bring together recently graduated dancers. Their method consists of inviting different directors for each project. This is how they have worked with Thomas Bentin, José Urrea and Fabián Leguizamón. For Black Beach they summoned the Espacio Checoeslovakia team, formed by Sebastián de la Cuesta, Rodrigo Leal and Cristián Reyes, who were already at GAM with their work Migrante. Along with them, the choreographer Francisca Sazie (Fractal) is also in charge of staging.
