Thirty-two photographs by Guy Wenborne and Marcos Mendizábal invite us to see from a distance the city that we build and inhabit, between the geometry of architecture and the traces of nature.
The exhibition, which will be suspended over the Central Plaza, proposes a tour of large-format images of Santiago from above, day and night. A view that passes through the river that runs through it, through the center and emblematic places such as the National Museum of Fine Arts and the Quinta Normal.
Twenty-eight images were taken from planes and helicopters by Wenborne. The remaining four are the work of Mendizábal, captured from the San Cristóbal and Renca hills, the Entel Tower and La Reina Alta. All were carried out between December 31, 2013 and September 2014.
Santiago from the air is presented by Entel and the Cultural Heritage Corporation of Chile. His images were selected by Soledad Rodríguez-Cano among those collected in the book of the same name that was launched last year by the telecommunications company that has been promoting art editions for more than a decade.
