The Chilean artist, Víctor Castillo, will create a mural in GAM focusing on art and public intervention, according to the spirit of UNCTAD III.
With acrylics in hand, Castillo will begin painting in the Plaza Oriente on September 14 to finish his work on the 22nd of the same month with a special inauguration. Castillo has his own and consolidated style, with constant references to the world of comics and especially to the television cartoon of his childhood.
The originally innocent characters become war toys that, with irony and sarcasm, are put at their service to describe the violence inherent to man, the hypocrisy in politics, racism, the manipulation of information, etc.

The inauguration of the mural will take place on Tuesday, September 22 at 6:30 p.m.

*The development of the mural and the coming of Victor to Santiago is thanks to ARTV and Isabel Croxatto Galería.
