The renowned Chilean plastic artist presents this innovative and multidisciplinary exhibition where art merges with new technologies, media and digital platforms, inviting you to explore a kinetic visual universe beyond its traditional limits.

Liliana Iturriaga presents Angular Geometry, her latest work, which is inspired by the architectural style of GAM. With its geometry it is a key point, its trusses, which are repetitions of geometric patterns and straight lines, are part of the investigative process.

The artist incorporates unpublished works such as muralism, video projections, virtual reality and artificial intelligence. These have the ability to transform the space and establish a bond with the viewer through the sensory and emotional, democratizing the public space so that people can get involved in an open way. Artistic interventions are also contemplated in public spaces of the cultural center, which include hanging structures.

In this installment, Iturriaga once again gives an account of his particular style, characterized by geometric abstraction and kineticism. For this representative of contemporary art, this opportunity marks a significant milestone in her career. "I am grateful for allowing me to hold this new exhibition with unpublished works in this important space for the arts in Chile," she says.

Angular Geometry is the result of a multidisciplinary collaboration with prominent professionals, who have contributed to its creation.

Together with the collaboration of the Delight Lab collective, National Center for Artificial Intelligence (CENIA), EPSON, Titangroup, Unifilms, Macri Arq, MACBA Museum of Buenos Aires, Patricia Ready Gallery and partial financing from FONDART and among other sponsors, the exhibition is curated by the Argentine Rodrigo Alonso and Patricio M. Zárate, both with prolific careers. It also has the support of the musician and composer Luis Izquierdo and the contribution of Alejandra Kantor in the coordination.

"The kinetic art that Liliana Iturriaga represents has similarities with artificial intelligence. It is based on mathematical and geometric rules that are combined with the talent and genius of a person. Like AI, strokes and colors are tools available to represent the world," explains Rodrigo Durán Rojas, from the National Center for Artificial Intelligence (CENIA).

Liliana Iturriaga Sánchez lived for more than thirty years in Venezuela, where she made her first contacts with art, particularly local kineticism. In 1988, he graduated from the Design School of the Brivil Institute, in Caracas. Upon his return to Chile in 2008, he continued to improve, participating in workshops and diploma courses from recognized institutions such as the University of Chile and the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.

His work, influenced by the Latin American abstract-geometric tradition, has been exhibited on numerous occasions, highlighting his first individual exhibition "Sinuosity of the line" in 2012 as part of the Museum without Walls project of the National Museum of Fine Arts, after going through several national and international exhibitions, in 2020 he exhibits at the MACBA museum in Buenos Aires and in 2022 at the National Museum of Fine Arts in Chile.
