The traveling exhibition created by Tactical Technolgy Collective in collaboration with the Mozilla Foundation comes to Chile thanks to the Protected Data Foundation, after having been mounted 125 times in more than 27 countries around the world. It can be visited in the MAPA Museum Room.

How much information do the applications and digital platforms that we use daily extract on our mobile phones, applications or on other screens? How do the big technology companies behind digital applications use that data?

These questions are answered by “The Glass Room Experience”, the traveling exhibition that has already toured 27 countries around the world. This experience aims to show the importance of maintaining privacy and data care in applications and digital platforms and contribute to the debate about what happens to our lives and digital footprint.

The exhibition has been created by Tactical Technology Collective, a non-profit organization based in Berlin, Germany. This NGO works together with civil society to explore and mitigate the impact of technology today.

In the exhibition, you can visit information panels on the information provided by a selfie, the use of data requested by mobile applications and strategic aspects of the two largest technology and Internet corporations. In addition, it has a “Data Detox” Bar, a space where “internet baristas” will teach visitors how to detoxify their private data on the internet, in addition to providing information on basic digital security tools.
