An immersive audiovisual experience that mixes sound, image and poetry; and that reflects the relationship with the world, the environment and the soul of our existence. This constantly evolving project arrives for the first time in Chile after visiting various countries.

Correspondences, is a project by Soundwalk Collective—made up of Stephan Crasneanscki and Simone Merli—and the singer, writer and visual artist, Patti Smith, who for more than 10 years has traveled through diverse and multiple spaces and geographies, discovering the sound traces of poets, filmmakers, revolutionaries, as well as the impact of climate change.

In these places, the collective's founder, Stephan Crasneanscki, has focused on capturing sonic memories—traces of a story—which are then channeled by the voice of Patti Smith, through an intimate and poetic dialogue. The result of this work corresponds to an immersive exhibition, curated by Santiago Gardeazabal, that mixes audiovisual material, experimental music and poetry, based on sounds that reflect our relationship with the world, the environment and the soul of our existence.

The exhibition exhibits eight unique audiovisual pieces that redefine the relationship between sound and image. These works include original fragments of'I Tagli di Medea' by Pier Paolo Pasolini starring Maria Callas, courtesy of Cinemazero; 'Pasolini' by Abel Ferrara starring Willem Dafoe; 'Andrei Rublev' by Andrei Tarkovsky and 'Andrei Tarkovsky. 'A Cinema Prayer' by Andrey A. Tarkovskiy; courtesy of Andrey A. Tarkovskiy; satellite images from NASA, ESA; Ocean data visualization conceived by Territorial Agency/ John Palmesino and Ann-Sofi Rönnskog with Soundwalk Collective, in collaboration with TBA21–Academy. On the other hand, it is complemented by illuminated boxes with original drawings, handwritten texts, photographs, scientific data and other studies that document the creation process of these works.

Unpublished works created by Patti Smith, especially for this version of Correspondences, will also be on display as part of the exhibition. And, in addition, pieces from the Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art will be presented, in order to promote a dialogue between the audiovisual, the experimental and art, which converge in a past and present history.
