To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of the actress and comedian Ana González, an exhibition of her heritage donated to GAM will be held.
She is possibly the most popular actress that Chile has ever had. Ana González acted in theater, radio, film and television. He obtained recognition from his peers, critics and the country on dozens of occasions. Among them, the National Art Prize stands out, which she won in 1969 with a milestone: she was the first woman to obtain it. But his popularity has a name and date of birth. La Desideria, her most famous character, appeared on June 1, 1940 and accompanied her for almost five decades.

This May 4, Ana González would turn 100 years old. GAM and ChileActors invite you to celebrate its centenary with the exhibition Ana González: 100 years. The exhibition curated by Erika Araya includes photos and personal objects of the actress that were donated to GAM.

There are nearly a hundred images that cover his life, both professional and intimate. And a space that recreates a corner in Ana González's home. There you can find your typewriter, radio, record player, cameras, suitcases, prizes and accessories such as headdresses and fans that show your weakness for feathers. Thanks to a loan from the UC Theater, the dress she wore in the play María Estuardo is also on display.

On Thursday the 7th and 14th there will be a free Conversation around Anita González moderated by Soledad Lagos.  On the 7th the actresses Ximena Rivas and Carmen Barros will be there, and on the 14th Ramón Núñez with Esperanza Silva.
