Tijuana

A man arrives in Tijuana, looking for a job in a factory and a pension he can pay with the minimum wage. He barely has enough left to live and he will have to juggle to have a beer. But he is not who he says he is, he is pretending to be someone else, with another hair, another name and another story. Isn't that acting? Isn't he an actor doing an experiment to create a work? 

The Mexican company Lagartijas Tiradas al Sol returns to Chile with Tijuana, a production that addresses what democracy is like for those who live on the minimum wage, to investigate concepts such as representation, acting, fiction and reality.

The play, performed by Gabino Rodríguez, who directs it with Luisa Pardo; It is based on texts and ideas by Andrés Solano, Arnoldo Gálvez Suárez, Martin Caparrós and Gunter Wallraff.  Tijuana comes to GAM after performing in Peru, Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, Cuba, Mexico, United States, Canada, Spain, Italy, Holland, Germany and Switzerland.
