#TheConquest

This is not a play nor is it performed by professional actors nor does it follow a story. This is a performance, starring twelve young people between 10 and 16 years old who use technology on stage while exploring a series of questions about its impact on our lives.

How do teenagers inhabit the technological world? And how does it change the lives of adults? In this transition, who are the conquerors and the conquered? What remains the same for both generations? How is it going to change our economy, our relationships, bodies, identities, our freedom? Will the human being finally become obsolete? Those are some of the questions that #LaConquista asks itself.

The performance is directed by María José Contreras and Trinidad Piriz, and stars a cast of digital natives chosen in a call to which more than 100 teenagers applied.  Its premiere is part of the Teatro Hoy cycle, by Fundación Teatro a Mil.
