The 25 years of the Santiago a Mil Festival will begin to be celebrated on January 3 with the opening of theaters, halls and cultural centers from Arica to Punta Arenas. Guided tours and tours will be part of the Theater Festival and will allow audiences to get behind the scenes of more than 60 stages.
The free access activity seeks to highlight the heritage of the performing arts linked to local spaces and creators. And since GAM is the main headquarters of the Santiago a mil Festival, it cannot be left out of this day with guided tours of its Heritage Collection. What elements remain from the original building? Why did this building become a reflection of the history of Chile? What is the importance of art, as a mechanism for understanding society?
The historical guided tour is a heritage tour that analyzes the space and the works of modern art belonging to the original collection of UNCTAD III (1972), distributed in the GAM facilities.
But that's not all, since the guided tours will be led by Felipe Mella (Executive Director GAM), Pamela López (Director of Programming and Audiences GAM) and Ramón López (President of the GAM Board of Directors and member of the original project for this building in 1970), they will be in charge of taking the public to know the most striking and interesting spaces and details of our cultural center.
