A man harassed by his demons approaches a journalist to say: I tortured her. This is how the chapter of the television series The Twilight Zone that will take the stage begins. This montage of La Pieza Oscura, based on a text by Nona Fernández and directed by Marcelo Leonart, is a journey through the imagination of the fantastic series from the sixties that will immerse us in the depths of the human psyche.
How to recognize a monster? How can we free ourselves from being one? How to enter that area where evil is unleashed? Based on the award-winning novel by Nona Fernández (Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz Award, finalist for the National Book Award), comes the theatrical version of The Twilight Zone, an experience that invites us to cross the threshold of reality to visit the darkest corners of human nature, where our own monstrosity hides.
The montage is based on a real event that shook Chile: in the midst of the dictatorship, a man enters the office of an opposition magazine to confess his responsibility in the regime's crimes. His declaration, "I want to talk," acts as the trigger for a surreal and shocking journey that transforms the stage into a space where the past, present and future collapse. The horror returns, time does not stop passing in the great trap of History. Interrogations, dirty dishes accumulated over the years, moral dilemmas, chases along the road, escapes through the mountains, wind and snow, walks through the cold of the Arctic and the monologues of a repentant monster who speaks to the rats about the crimes he committed, are some of the images of the chilling chapter that they will witness.
With a narrative that pays tribute to the aesthetics of the famous television series created by Rod Serling, the staging uses suspense, imagination, play, pop wink and emotion to enter and investigate the abysses of the human soul. With an enveloping atmosphere, high-intensity performances and a rhythm that doesn't let up, La Pieza Oscura (El Taller, Liceo de Niñas, Noche Mapuche, Space Invaders, Voyager, among others), invites us to confront our own existence.

“There is a magical quality to Nona Fernández's 'The Twilight Zone'. A feeling of walking, as if under a spell, and then accidentally stumbling upon the murky and unknown”
