The montage is inspired by the literary workshop that the writer Mariana Callejas gave, during the first years of the dictatorship, in her house in Lo Curro, where the Quetrupillán barracks of the Directorate of National Intelligence (DINA) also operated.
El Taller tells the story of five members of a literary group that meets week after week in an exclusive residence in Lo Curro to write the stories they wish to publish under the tutelage of Marita, a famous writer, winner of the El Mercurio Short Story Contest. However, despite the enthusiasm of its members, the gatherings will be interrupted by the appearance of Mauricio, the new workshop leader, who wants to write about the attack on an important General, a situation that puts Marita on alert.
