The lover

La amorada, a one-woman piece starring the Mexican singer Julieta Venegas, talks about the vital moment in which a woman speaks. We will never know if he could say it all, but “he could say,” and this turning point in his life clearly marks the abandonment of his submission to habit, to inertia.

The protagonist tries to spin a story that falls apart all the time, something dies, something is born... everything happens without fanfare. It is a musical journey in which the public witnesses intimacy, confessions that appear childish and existential forcefulness for a being without certainties, but with the need to encounter the world from another place.

Written by Santiago Loza for the artist, it is directed by the renowned director Guillermo Cacace, with whom he had previously partnered in the moving work El mar de noche, part of the Santiago a Mil 2018 programming.
