Gabriel is ten years old and lives in the city of Los Vilos, he is a paleontologist by intuition and decision, and he invites his school friends to live adventures, marking their lives and their vision of traditional education. Teatro Marote makes us part of these expeditions through puppets, object theater and live music.

Not fitting the standards of traditional education of the 70s, punished for his antics, Gabriel motivates his friends at school to live meaningful experiences and make one of the most important paleontological discoveries for their region.

The Fossil Boy immerses us in the school life of this ten-year-old boy through puppets, mainly the marote technique: hybrid dolls on a human scale.

Likewise, the montage is created under the format of relaxed functions or RP (Relaxed Performance). As an original and pioneering proposal, the company challenged itself to create a relaxed work; that with friendly lighting of warm and neutral colors, a live sound universe without strident sounds, and a set created with recycled objects, invites spectators of all ages and conditions to travel alongside the protagonists.

This project is Teatro Marote's third, it was born in 2019 as an audiovisual work and today it comes to the scene with manipulation of objects and live music.

This family puppet company was born in 2016 with the main objective of strengthening the bond between childhood and the performing arts, contributing to their intellectual and emotional development. Within its axes of development and research is work with puppets, mainly using the marote technique, without ceasing to delve into other techniques and scales.

"We deeply believe that theater must make its way to listen to childhoods and leave aside the adult-centrism that guides us in every order of things, childhoods are also a source of knowledge, emotion and infinite experience. Finally, another of the axes is the work with some territory of our country and in that sense, our company is diverse and its members come from different origins and for that reason, we seek that the stories we tell are also diverse," they point out.
