The appearance of the bourgeoisie

In 1901, the Russian Máximo Gorky wrote "The Petty Bourgeoisies", where an impoverished family of the Moscow bourgeoisie debated between succumbing to the transformations or defending their interests in the midst of the effervescence prior to the Russian Revolution.

More than a century later, the national playwright Luis Barrales adapts the original text, bringing it to a Chilean family of the current middle class that faces a crisis familiar while a social revolt occurs outside, suggesting a disturbing similarity between the existential boredom of the last century and the contemporary confusion resulting from violent paradigm shifts.
