The work is inspired by the closure of the Chuquicamata camp, carried out in 2007. Two women have been uprooted from the place where they were born and raised, so that it is buried under tons of waste.
The only place they can freely access is the cemetery/desert; one of them arrives looking for the grave of an aunt she never met, while the other spends her hours in the place to feel close to her home; From this “chance” encounter, the women begin a dialogue about not belonging, the idea of “reconstructing” and saving their history, faced with the helplessness that even on their identity cards they appear to have been born in another place.
