Proyecto Valencia is made up of the micro theater pieces: “And we will give birth to the earth” and “I will no longer wear red in blue Spain” by Wichita Co & Tabula Rasa, constituting a show in permanent construction that uses small-format pieces as a critical tool to reflect on reality and Spanish idiosyncrasy.
“And we will give birth to the earth” premiered as part of the textual proposals of new dramaturgy at the RUSSAFA ESCÈNICA festival, presenting the voice of a woman who is expecting her first child and goes on an existentialist journey that revisits her life and her country in search of what she can offer to new generations. In “I will no longer wear red in blue Spain” the text alludes from farce to the personal consequences of a loss of the elections of the popular side in the Valencian Consistory, wondering how a person who has spent 30 years in power would face his or her life.
