The heart of a nineteen-year-old young man will join the body of a fifty-year-old woman in the space of twenty-four hours. This work traces the entire human chain that is formed to achieve such a feat. Organ donation, a generous gesture that engenders life, remains a difficult choice for victims' families at the height of their grief. The death that gives life: a human adventure that is both terrible and formidable.
