TICKETS SOLD OUT! Work by Argentine Roberto Cossa, directed by Jesús Urqueta and performed by Alejandro Goic and Amalia Kassai. A premiere that shows the reunion between a father who fought for the plebiscite and a daughter who questions his ideals.
A father and daughter have been estranged for years, when he calls her to ask a favor: he wants her to edit the memoirs he has just written. Alejandro Goic plays a former revolutionary who fought for the return of democracy and participated in the planning of the 1988 plebiscite. And Amalia Kassai plays his daughter, a successful journalist who reluctantly accepts the assignment. Both will see their decisions and ideals clash as they work on the book, exposing their differences and wounds.
Jesús Urqueta directs this version of A Question of Principles, a 2009 text by the prominent Argentine playwright Roberto Cossa (La nona). Urqueta with his company Teatro Versión Official takes the work to the context of the Chilean plebiscite, to commemorate 30 years of the triumph of No.
The staging presents a hyper-realistic performance on a stripped-down stage. This is Urqueta's new work after his praised montage of Arpeggione.
