Nuke

This work, which merges fiction and documentary theater, takes place inside an 8x13 m ruca. Built with wood and reeds, with a dirt floor and a coligüe roof. There, Carmen laments the imprisonment of her eldest son in Araucanía and the disappearance of her youngest in a shootout. 

With live music, the show is a metaphor for the violation of human rights anywhere and aims to rescue a culture that is constantly stripped and violated by police forces.  Directed by Paula González, the play stages the text by playwright David Arancibia, which is inspired by real events that occurred in some Mapuche communities.
