Mother

A mother is in a coma on the verge of death. His health condition summons his four children, who meet again for the first time in years. They are four adult siblings with different lifestyles, opinions, fears and desires that are revealed in the conversation about what to do with their mother and their house. This occurs in Madre, a play written by Trinidad González, directed and adapted by Marco Guzmán, for the Teatro Nativo program, scenic laboratory, of the Maule Regional Theater.

The play is set in a cold winter in Talca, in the living room of the family house where the mother's unconscious body comes to await death. The conversation between the brothers portrays the difficulty of family relationships in the face of time, distance and loneliness.

The play was created in a residency at the Maule Regional Theatre, where the local cast selected in a casting call worked for two months with the playwright and then with the director.
