The fifth edition of the women's playwriting festival offers dramatized readings and a fanzine workshop.

A legend claims that one of the popes of the 9th century was actually a woman. This legendary character appears alongside other great women in history, literature and art in Top Girls, a work that talks about the relationship between power and gender.

The text by the British Caryl Churchill was released in 1982, during Margaret Thatcher's government, criticizing a feminism that did not take care of cultural or class differences. Now the piece arrives as a dramatized reading at the Lápiz de Mina Festival. The reading is presented with the support of the British Council, translation by Camila Le-Bert  and direction by Antonia Mendia (Beben).

The fifth version of the women's playwriting festival also presents dramatized readings of six works, selected in an open call to which more than 50 texts applied. The festival will also have a fanzine and self-publishing workshop led by Vicenta Mendoza, from Fanzi nombre, on December 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The workshop is with voluntary participation, prior registration at contacto@lapizdemina.cl
