A Mapuche community in the Araucanía region has the mission of defining what a Lautaro sculpture that the regional government will install will look like.
But who was Lautaro and what does he represent? The answer is not so simple. A group of students, a machi, a lonco, together with the social worker, the journalist and the director of the corporation will try to reach a consensus.
Bosco Cayo wrote this work inspired by Lautaro, by Isidora Aguirre, to portray the conflict between the Chilean state and the Mapuche people.
The production premiered in 2014 at the UC Theater directed by Aliocha de la Sotta and music by Fernando Milagros.
