Vulnerability, stigmatization, violence and rebellion. Nine Chilean teenagers take the stage to expose their way of facing the world and the violence of which they have been witnesses and victims. A GAM Production directed by Marco Layera.

Lissette Villa was 11 years old when she died of asphyxiation because a 90-kilogram caregiver sat on her for minutes. Tania Águila died at the age of 14 when her boyfriend attacked her with a rock on the head. Florencia Aguirre was 10 years old when her stepfather suffocated her with a bag, burned her and buried her in the woodshed of their house. These were some of the cases that prompted the Teatro La Re-Sentida team to create Landscapes to Not Color, a work in which a group of female adolescents tries to make visible the vulnerability to which they are exposed for being underage “women.”

On stage there are nine young women between 13 and 17 years old who give their opinions and tell stories based on real events, based on cases that have appeared in the press or on experiences lived by them and their peers. “The issue that moves us is the violence of which we are victims, gender, social, family, school, and specifically abortion and adolescent femicide,” says the cast.

After the work there is a long process. First, workshops were held in communes of Santiago to learn about their reality. Afterwards, there was an audition to which about 140 young people came, then another workshop and finally nine girls were selected to act and two to join the drama team.
