kicking stones

“There is actually a crisis in humanity in the last, I would say, five thousand years.” The phrase is by Jorge González and is part of Kicking stones, a musical theater production that portrays his work and genius, uniting fiction with textual quotes of his political opinions and about twenty of his songs.

The work directed by Gopal and Visnu Ibarra integrates great hits from Los Prisioneros and González's solo career. From Tell Me an Original Story and Tightness of Heart to My Tree House and Faith. While their opinions cover topics as varied as the abuse of power, feminism and the aspiration of the sea for Bolivia.

Kicking stones is performed by Paula Zúñiga, Nicolás Zárate, Simón Aravena and Millantú Hilbert along with four musicians and a citizen choir and dance cast.
