In a palace in Papudo during the Colony, an insomniac marchioness receives two Italian musicians. She called them to fall asleep, but Il Maestri de Maestris and Cabeza di Pattata cannot make her sleep, because the marchioness is hiding a secret.
And while they try, the fatigue and delirium of those who do not sleep generates some catastrophic events. That's what Il concerto is about, a new work by the Cirkoqoshka company that is inspired by baroque concerts.
Music, humor, balance, acrobatics and clown technique come together in this contemporary circus work, directed by Sebastián Vila. The music composed by Álvaro Pacheco, mainly for violin and harpsichord, is inspired by Purcell, Bach, Vivaldi and Scarlatti.
