I want to say I love you

A young woman falls in love with an older man she sees in a car accident. It is the middle of the 20th century, when letters are not yet a rarity and she uses them to send him secret messages of love. What they don't know is that the man doesn't even notice, because his wife intercepts them and responds. And what the wife doesn't know is that those letters will become increasingly important to her too. That happens in I want to say I love you, an intimate and minimalist melodrama that comes from Argentina.

The text by Mariano Tenconi Blanco is directed by Juan Parodi, an award-winning Argentine director who was at GAM in 2014 with Mau Mau or the third part of the night. Parodi was invited to I want to say I love you by Grupo Humo Negro, a company from San Martín de los Andes with almost 20 years of experience that produced and performs the production.

“Juan Parodi's performance is of a subtlety that shocks,” published the trans-Andean newspaper La Nación. The work comes to GAM thanks to its alliance with the National Theater Institute of Argentina.
