Hedda Gabler

One of the great classics of realist theater is directed by Claudia di Girolamo, based on an adaptation by Alexis Moreno and with actress Amparo Noguera playing one of the most challenging female roles in the history of drama. Written in 1890 by the Norwegian Henrik Ibsen, this drama is set at the end of the 19th century and tells the life of Hedda Gabler, an aristocratic woman who has just married, by convenience, Jorge Tesman, a writer who hopes to get an important job after the publication of his book. Along the way he meets Eylert Lovborg, the lover of a friend of Hedda's and also her former love, a novelist who aspires to the same position as Tesman and who has a manuscript even better than his first work; This will end up awakening Hedda's jealousy and a destiny doomed to tragedy. “I'm terrified of the boredom of living here,” says Hedda Gabler. Where? In a half-finished house, which could be either being renovated or in ruins: the stage space of this production does not recreate an era, but rather represents Hedda's inner chaos.
