The story of Gabriela Mistral, from her childhood in the Elqui Valley to becoming a great poet, comes through music and scenes full of tenderness and play. 80 years after her Nobel Prize, boys and girls will learn how Gabriela discovered her love for education, books, nature and poetry. And also, how facing loneliness and the challenges of his life, he looked towards the stars again.

The Cuervos de Pantano Company and the Maule Classical Orchestra present a family proposal that combines music, theater and poetry that is part of the national commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Nobel Prize in Literature.

The work features original compositions by Parralino musician Carlos Stockle, stage direction by Andrés Saavedra and musical direction by Jesús Rojas.

“Gabriela, the Girl Who Dreamed of the Stars” tells the story of Gabriela Mistral, from her childhood in the Elqui Valley to becoming a great poet. This artistic proposal is born from the “Concerts for Girls and Boys of Maule 2024” program, a joint initiative between the Maule Regional Theater (TRM), Regional Ministerial Secretariat of Education, Regional Ministerial Secretariat of Cultures, Arts and Heritage.
