Mestiza Chile, Festival and International Meeting of Women in Contemporary Performing Arts, will have its third version in Chile this year. It will have activities in Santiago and an extension in Valparaíso.

This meeting provides platforms and opportunities to share, develop and transmit women's performance work, through the exhibition of national and international works, international seminars, round tables, conferences, presentation of publications and exhibitions of visual artists. This time the areas of theater, dance and circus will be worked on.

1. Theoretical Seminar by Ilena Diguez, "Artistic practice from the politics of our affections and as an action for anamnetic justice”
What can art do in situations where human life is equal to waste? Art cannot return what was lost, but it can contribute a lot against the policies of impunity and oblivion.

Taught by Ileana Diéguez. Research professor at the Department of Humanities of the UAM- Cuajimalpa, Mexico, DF. Member of the National System of Researchers. Doctor of Letters (2006) with postdoctoral stay in Art History, UNAM, supported by CONACYT (2008-2009). He works on problems of art, memory, representations of violence, mourning, expanded and social theatricalities and performativities.

2. Final sample of the "Daughter" Creation Laboratory. 
Laboratory workshop led by Jill Greenhalgh, director of the international network The Magdalena Project. After working with 20 national actresses, the artistic experience will focus on personal stories of mother-daughter relationships. The installation invites witnesses to share intimate encounters that examine how the intimacy and complexity of the mother-daughter dyad can be authentically presented.
