Duo delirium

Rarely does the setting play such a central role as in Delirio a duo. The work occurs in a scenographic device that shakes, rotates and dismantles in constant dialogue with history. The live stage not only supports the assembly, it also supports and shakes the audience that is located within the scenery.

Why is space shaking? Because a war splashes bombs, shots, screams and death on the home of a fractured couple, who sees their acid discussion interrupted by the reality that sneaks through the curtains.

The work is born from a creative collaboration between the director José Ignacio García and the integral designer Eduardo Jiménez. The staging investigates historical memory through a dialogue with the spaces where it is staged. Like in the Villa Grimaldi Peace Park, where it was premiered, or now in GAM, where the past resonates as the headquarters of the dictatorship.
