The Gabriela Mistral Cultural Center, GAM, invites national artists, companies and groups from various disciplines to apply for artistic projects in the areas of performing, musical, visual and media arts, to be part of its 2027–2028 programming. This call covers a period of two years, in order to anticipate processes, foster collaborations and allow medium and long-term planning.


Disciplines

Theater, dance, new opera, circus, popular music, classical music, visual arts, media arts, family shows and stand up comedy. Application lines: Premieres, re-runs, residencies, concerts, use of a recording studio, exhibitions, music festivals, concert seasons and cycles.

Applicant profile
Performing artists, companies, collectives, visual artists, curators, media artists, soloists, ensembles, bands, orchestras and chamber groups, labels, music festivals, managers and other related parties.

Call 2027 and 2028
For 2027, GAM opens a call to receive artistic projects from different disciplines, formats and scales, aimed at creating diverse, contemporary and meaningful programming for different audiences. Proposals with artistic quality, programmatic relevance, technical feasibility, capacity for dialogue with the present and that consider strategies of connection, mediation or cultural participation will be evaluated.

By 2028, GAM opens a line aimed at premiere performing arts projects, due to their artistic, technical, budgetary or collaborative scale, which require greater planning time, institutional articulation and search for financing.


I. Objectives of the Call

  • Support and promote projects that stand out for their innovation, artistic quality and potential impact on the national scene, considering both classical languages ​​and contemporary and interdisciplinary explorations.
  • Strengthen creative processes in the musical, visual and scenic fields, promoting both the creation of new works and the reassembly and resignification of recent pieces.
  • Promote national creation, valuing both emerging talents and established artists.
  • Promote projects that develop engagement strategies with audiences, incorporating mediation, participation, training or meeting actions, as well as the search for new languages, formats and experiences that expand access, dialogue and the relationship between artistic creation and citizenship.
  • Promote territorial decentralization, encouraging the participation of projects from various regions of the country and recognizing creation from the diversity of territories, contexts and local aesthetics.
