Women between 13 and 16 years of age are invited to star in the GAM Production, "Paisajes para no coloring", directed by Marco Layera. No previous experience is required.
The audition will be on December 27 and 28 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at GAM (Alameda 227, building A, room A1) and registrations are sent to the email address gestion@gam.cl.
The play, directed by Marco Layera, is inspired by the case of Chiara Páez, a 14-year-old pregnant Argentine teenager who was beaten to death by her 16-year-old boyfriend. This crime would be the genesis of the “Not one less” movement and would mark a milestone in the fight for women's rights in Latin America.
The production will recruit as part of the cast a heterogeneous group of girls between 13 and 16 years old, who will give an account of the youth world unknown to many and in which the gender violence that exists in the adult world would be replicated.
The production will address their interests, behaviors and needs, a staging that makes visible and bears witness to the female adolescent world in Chile, its diversity, vulnerability, rebellion, violence and stigmatization.
