Adela, together with her Godmother, prepares the welcome party for Pedro, who has been working in the north for several years and returns to his maternal home.
It is the 40s and the city of Linares is preparing to receive the visit of Jorge Negrete, the star of the moment in Mexican cinema. Adela's dreams of freedom will mix with her desires to meet the star, and to twist the destiny that her godmother has planned for her.
With a lot of humor and nostalgia, the work presents the story of a woman who embodies the change of an entire society, under the spell of those rancheras who came through cinema to remain in the imagination of the Chilean countryside.
