This month the reign is of the keys and of the women. The Goethe-Institut will present throughout July the cycle Women at the Piano, which will put a varied repertoire - from baroque to contemporary - in the hands of performers from different generations who will play a Grotrian Steinweg grand piano.
On July 1 Fernanda Ortega will pay tribute to John Cage with soprano Nancy Gómez. On July 8 Marcela Lillo will perform pieces by Robert and Clara Schumann, Soro, Gershwin, López-Gavilán and a selection of ballroom dances written by Chilean composers. On July 15 compositions by Robert Schumann and others by Franz Schubert will again be played on the piano of Dafna Barenboim, the clarinet of Kathya Galleguillos and the voice of soprano Claudia Pereira. On July 22 there will be young pianists Natalia Brzovic (11 years old) and Valeria Chacón (17 years old) performing creations by Bach, Haydn, Beethoven, Chopin and Debussy. The closing will be on July 29 and will be led by Dafna Israel playing works by Bach and Rameau.
