The Chilean artist Constanza Alarcón leads this project conceived from two sound performances, which involve a collaboration with Yo Yo Ma's Bach Project and the active participation of the public.
Variations of an antisecreto is one of the collective performances where the audience will play a bramadera, a sound object that produces a kind of low-frequency hum. In some cultures, the use of this instrument was restricted to men and that is why the call is for those people who feel dissatisfied with the normative roles and designations of sex and gender.
Choral, collective, tectonic is the other performance of the project. The invitation is for people who have experienced an earthquake event, who will record their voices while they try to sing their sonic memories of the earthquake. This material will be transmitted and mixed live, transforming into a large assembly that will represent the duality present in an earthquake, an intimate but at the same time collective event.
Yo-Yo Ma, considered one of the best cellists in the world, will participate in this performance by recording his seismic memory and taking the stage with his cello to accompany the assembly of voices in a free concert.
