A musical journey that unites the poetry of Gabriela Mistral with the nostalgia of Portuguese fado. We will celebrate his time in Lisbon in the 1930s with a tribute concert performed by Fado al Sur del Mundo, a group that revives the songs composed by Jorge Prado and recorded in Portugal in 2021 along with six great voices of contemporary fado.
Mistral lived in Lisbon in the 1930s, a period in which she managed to regain inspiration to write. The album, performed live, will precisely unite the feeling that Mistral's work transmits with the foundation that fado proclaims. The poems My Mountains, Little Pieces, Desolation, the Sonnets of Death, Country of Absence, Things, Wealth, We were all going to be queens, Absence and Two Angels will be set to music.
Portuguese guitar, musical direction and composition Jorge Prado | Voices Paulina Paz Muñoz, Jorge Coulón, Josefina Echenique | Fado viola Miguel Álvarez | Sound Talo Oyarzún
