Sara Van & The Celestines

For the first time in Chile, the Peruvian singer residing in Madrid Sara Van performs at GAM, accompanied by the Santiago criollo waltz and bolero ensemble Los Celestinos, in a meeting of musical brotherhood, where the interpretative depth of the Lima singer is woven with the particularly virtuosic music of the Chilean quartet.

Sara Van was born in Lima, but has lived since her early adolescence in Madrid, where she forged a bridge with Peru through singing, supported by her intense, serious, at times torn voice, a voice that is overwhelming, so much so that the filmmaker Javier Corcuera chose her as one of the main singers of his film Sigo Siendo (Kachkaniraqmi).

The musical journeys germinated the meeting with Los Celestinos, a Chilean waltz and bolero group clinging to the cultural heritage of the South Pacific coast, in a permanent coming and going between the traditions of Lima, Buenos Aires and Santiago.
