Paolo Bortolameolli in concert

In the concert, Bortolameolli will conduct the Solístico de Santiago group, a chamber orchestra made up of musicians from the Santiago Philharmonic Orchestra.  Plus, they will have friends invited.

Paolo Bortolameolli is currently the Assistant Conductor of the Los Angeles Philharmonic (LA Phil) where Gustavo Dudamel is its chief conductor.

Arnold Schönberg is a composer and pedagogue (along with his students Alban Berg and Anton Webern they occupy a privileged place in the history of music), who was a capital figure in the evolution of music during the 20th century, being the precursor in the break with the tonal system.
The Chamber Symphony No. 1 Op. 9 (from 1906) begins the path towards its expressionist stage. Atonal.
That same year and upon finishing the composition of his Op. 9, Schoenberg began the composition of his Chamber Symphony No. 2. However, it was a project that he left abandoned for 33 years.
During those years Schoenberg developed the twelve-tone system that would lay the foundations for new paths in musical composition.
When he decided to return to this work in 1939, he did so because he felt that the style that characterized his first stage of composition still had unexplored possibilities.
Listening to both Chamber Symphonies together in the same concert is a unique opportunity to discover how it all began and what the musical reflections were after 30 years of intense creative activity.
