Newen Afrobeat

Formed in 2009, it is the response from this part of the planet to the style created by the Nigerian social activist and musician, Fela Kuti. They have performed concerts in more than 10 countries and shared the stage with the greatest exponents of the genre. After their successful first self-titled album, today they are preparing their new work that includes songs like Cántaros, an ode to the female figure and energy, and Uyuni, a song that fuses African rhythms and traditional folklore from the Andes.

In this edition of Tocatas Mil they will be presenting their concert Abre los Ojos, a show that aims to be a call not to ignore what is happening socially in Chile and the world. All through an energetic and colorful proposal, which includes dance and 14 musicians on stage.
