Fado, tonada, Celtic and Greek sounds merge in the compositions of the southern singer-songwriter who comes to present Astronautas en la playa, her first album.

Who hasn't ever made decisions with cachipún? “Rock, scissors, paper for who the ball comes down from the tree,” says Marcela Parra in Parque comillas, one of the 11 songs that will be played at the concert that the singer-songwriter and poet will give at GAM.

Parra comes to GAM to promote Astronautas en la playa, his first album recorded last year with the Banana Records label. The themes are inspired by his childhood and adolescence in Temuco and show varied influences of tonada, fado, traditional Greek and modern music with Celtic roots.

In his seven years of career, Parra has performed with his guitar in Spain, Portugal and China. In GAM he will play with bassist Federico Eisner and drummer Javier Riquelme.
