Celebration of the 450th anniversary of the birth of Claudio Monteverdi.
The Music Institute of the Alberto Hurtado University presents a tour of works by Monteverdi that renewed the composition of madrigals.
It will be a selection from this musical genre of the Renaissance that bases its texts on poems by various authors and that talk about love in its infinite range of emotions.
The staging will also feature the participation of period dance specialist Magnus Rasmussen and the ancient music ensemble La Consonancia.
It will be a musical journey through Monteverdi's work, from joy to despair, from the fire of passion to the cold of death, from the fall of lovers, victims of the whim of the gods, to the entanglements of the messenger Love.
