The renowned singer Luna Monti returns to GAM with an acoustic concert where she will address a varied repertoire between Latin American folklore, songs by contemporary authors and her own compositions, with the versatility and uniqueness of her interpretive seal.
Luna Monti is a singer and music educator from Argentina. Creator of the “Luna Monti Studio” located in Buenos Aires, dedicated to the investigation of the voice and the sound body, revaluing community singing.
As a singer, he chose the folkloric music of his country and Latin America as his expressive language. She began her studies as a singing teacher at the Popular Music School of Buenos Aires, from which she graduated. In 2000, he released his first album titled “Dentro, el Silencio…”, with the artistic production of Raúl Carnota. In 2002 he formed a duo with Juan Quintero. Together they recorded 6 albums released independently, such as “El matecito de las seven”, establishing themselves as references in Argentine popular music. He has collaborated with several internationally renowned artists such as: Mercedes Sosa, León Gieco, Ricardo Mollo, Lito Vitale, Chango Spasiuk, Silvia Pérez Cruz, Coetus, among others.
He traveled the world with musical, theatrical and pedagogical projects. Throughout his artistic career he has received several awards, including a Gardel Award. She is a Vocal Trainer, also trained in theater, body percussion, dance and guitar. Among other things, she is an astrologer and yoga instructor.
Currently, she alternates her artistic activity (performing alone with her guitar and voice) with musical teaching (directing female vocal ensembles, offering workshops and retreats).
